The IWPDA2009 aims to train experimental plasma researchers in Singapore and the regional countries on plasma diagnostics and plasma applications. Invited speakers will be giving content/pedagogical talks along with hands-on training sessions on their areas of expertise, specially related to various plasma diagnostics and new development in the field of plasma applications. As usual, we will also be organizing a special session for participants, specially young budding researchers, to share their findings through short oral and poster presentations. The conference/workshop aims to provide a platform for young researcher to learn complex plasma diagnostics from experts in the field. Attendance in the workshop will offer participants:
* Registration fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars. [Currency exchange calculator] ** For overseas participants the registration fees can be paid by bank draft, and there will be an additional charge of S$30.00 for the administrative bank charges incurred. The bank draft must be drawn in Singapore Dollars for the total sum of registration fee plus S$30.00 and made payable to National Institute of Education. Alternatively registration fees can be paid at workshop registration desk during the workshop. Registration fees include four coffee-breaks receptions, two lunches and two dinners. A limited number of partial financial supports for travel and/or accommodation will be awarded on a case-by-case basis for participants from developing countries in the region. The quantum for each grant will be determined once all applications have been received. How to register for IWPDA 2009? 1. Workshop Registration Workshop registration is now open. Registration is done filling the attached registration form and sending it to IWPDA2009 Secretariat at IWPDA2009@gmail.com. You may register and attend the conference whether or not a paper will be submitted. However, graduate students applying for the financial support must have at least one accepted abstract. Though an accepted abstract does not guarantee the support, it will still be dependent on availability of funds. Please use the template given below to email the abstract to IWPDA2009 Secretariat at IWPDA2009@gmail.com. Authors will be notified once their papers have been accepted. Presenters must register as well as submit their full paper by 1 July 2009.
