Molecular-Genomic Technology and Bioinformatics

Molecular biology and bioinformatics (Chia Tet Fatt)

Current research focuses on the generation, interfacing and analysis of biological data (genomic, microarrays and, lifestyle and population genetics) with molecular and bioinformatics applications. Specific examples include the analyses of unknown genes in Arabidopsis genome, lifestyle database tracking, population survey through mitochondria sequences (The Singapore Mitochondrial DNA Tree Project), molecular ecological analyses and prediction and transcriptome.

Medical diagnostics (Gan Yik Yuen)

Molecular biology of Epstein Barr viral antigens for the application of diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
